Rosé Spritz Recipe: A Light, Refreshing Summer Cocktail

A Rosé Spritz cocktail.

Rosé Spritz Recipe

A light, refreshing spritz – perfect for using up leftover rosé (if there is any).

When the weather warms up, I tend to reach for longer, refreshing drinks — the kind you can pour over ice and sip slowly. More often than not, that means a spritz. From Aperol to Hugo, there are plenty of go-to favourites, but sometimes it’s nice to switch things up.

If rosé is your drink of choice in the summer, this is an easy way to give it a fresh twist. Light, crisp, and gently sparkling, the Rosé Spritz is perfect for warm afternoons when a simple glass of wine just doesn’t quite cut it.

Inspired by the Taste of Home Swedish Rose Spritz, this version pairs rosé with elderflower liqueur for a subtle floral note and a touch of citrus. The result is fresh, balanced, and just sweet enough — the kind of drink you’ll come back to all summer.

How to make a Rosé Spritz

Leftover rosé might be a rarity, but when it does happen, this is the perfect way to make the most of the dregs. A spritz transforms it into something lighter, brighter, and a little more special. With just a few ingredients, this cocktail comes together in minutes, making it ideal for last-minute plans or relaxed evenings in the garden. It’s simple, elegant, and exactly what you want to be sipping on a sunny day.

  11. This sounds absolutely delicious! Perfect for a hot summer afternoon. I’m not the biggest aperol fan in the world and this sounds like such a nice alternative. I’m not sure if I’ve ever had rose in a cocktail before and I’m starting to question why because this sounds amazing x
