Limoncello Spritz Recipe
A taste of Sorrento in a simple yet delicious serve.
As much as an Aperol Spritz is a go-to, there’s a whole world of spritzes worth exploring. This one keeps things firmly Italian, but with a completely different flavour profile. Fresh, zesty, and lightly sparkling, the Limoncello Spritz offers a sharper, more citrus-led alternative.
What is Limoncello?
Limoncello is an Italian liqueur that’s mainly made in Southern Italy. Typically served chilled as a digestif (after-dinner drink), limoncello is made by macerating lemon peel in alcohol, and is most well-known for its beautiful yellow colour and sweet yet zesty flavour.

Which Limoncello?
For this version, Limoncello di Capri brings a distinctly fresh, citrus-forward flavour, made using Sorrento I.G.P. lemons. The result is a spritz that feels both vibrant and refreshing, with just the right balance of sweetness and acidity.
While spritzes are often associated with warm, sunny days, this is one that works just as well beyond summer. Lighter and more citrus-driven than an Aperol Spritz, it feels perfectly suited to cooler days when you want something fresh without too much sweetness.

Sounds amazing! I’ve been taking prosecco with elderberry cordial added lately. But this sounds a whole nother level of delicious.
Glad to hear you like the sound of it! Prosecco and elderberry cordial sounds like a great mix – I’ll have to try it.
