Instead, it’s a style of white wine made by extended contact with grape skin and seeds. This process gives it a deeper colour and bolder flavour, often with funky, nutty, and appley notes that set it apart from typical whites.

Fragrant and fresh on the nose, the Vicoletto Catarratto orange wine leads with aromas of apple cider, tangy citrus and orange marmalade – everything you want from an orange wine.
If you’re new to the liquid, don’t let its cloudier and orangey appearance put you off – almost all orange wines look exactly like that!
On the palate, the Vicoletto Catarratto’s orange marmalade flavours really come through. Again, the crisp apple and citrus tang are both there, but the lasting flavour for me is orange marmalade. It’s dry with a medium body, giving it a lovely weight in the mouth. This is a great introduction to orange wine, but if you’re a regular orange wine imbiber…I think it’ll impress.
