If there’s one item that I think will always work as a great gift, it’s got to be jewellery. Whenever I’m asked about what I want for a birthday, or in this case Christmas, jewellery is always at the top of my list. You might’ve noticed that I’ve written quite a lot about jewellery on my blog over the last few months. If you’ve been following my blog for a little while then you also might remember that I even recently created a blog section dedicated to jewellery.
It’s quickly become one of my favourite things to share on the blog. So this season I’m going to share two pieces of jewellery that I’m loving with you. Each of them are from a different brand as well! One brand I’m sure you will recognise as a household jewellery brand. The other, however, I’m assuming will be new to most of you! This post contains affiliate links and gifted items.
Starting with an absolute classic jewellery brand, this season I’m lusting over the Pandora Link Bracelet. Part of their latest Pandora Me collection, the link bracelet is a more geometric alternative to their classic charm bracelet. You might’ve already seen my post from my trip to the Ivy with Pandora last month. If you have then you’ll also probably remember me saying that I would feature the jewellery that I picked up at the event on my blog/social media. Well, I’ve finally got around to actually sharing it with you.
The Pandora Me Link Bracelet
Made from sustainable sterling silver and shaped into a stunning chunky link design, the link bracelet is the perfect balance between bold and classic. Within the bracelet, there are three links that are detailed with a snake chain pattern. These textured links are on a hinge which allows you to unhook the bracelet and attach Pandora Me charms to it. The rest of the bracelet is made up of classic sterling silver links.
The standard sizing for the bracelet is the 17 inch length. However, I went for the 20 inch bracelet as the 17 inch was just a tiny bit too tight. I love the looser fit of the 20 inch as I can wear it over the top of long sleeved tops. Also, if I ever wanted a tighter fit I can simply hook the clasp onto a different link.
What I love so much about the link bracelet is that you can create so many different pieces of jewellery out of it. Of course there is the classic bracelet, but the fact that you can hook sections together means that you could even make a necklace out of the bracelet. Or, maybe an anklet is more your thing! At £70 per bracelet, the link bracelet is the perfect gift for someone this Christmas.
The Pandora Me Charms
As a standalone piece I think the link bracelet makes a statement in itself. But the option to add charms just makes it that bit more personal. If you’re buying a gift for someone who you know already has the bracelet then why not pick them up one of the Pandora Me charms? My bracelet has the addition of the stunning arrow charm added to it. All of the charms in the Pandora Me collection are between £12 and £15 which is ideal for stocking fillers, gifts for friends or even secret Santa! There’s a bit of a story behind why I chose the arrow charm so make sure to check out my post about the Pandora event at The Ivy Spinningfields to find out why.
My second piece of jewellery comes from Nude Jewellery. Based in Surrey, Nude Jewellery was established in 2001 by Nikki Galloway. Each piece is handmade so you know you’ll be receiving a stunning bespoke piece of jewellery when you shop with Nude Jewellery. Nikki creates a huge array of different pieces including earrings, bracelets and even engagement rings! But for this post I’m focusing on her necklaces. More specifically… her Double Link Silver Pendant Necklace.
Featured in the Vanilla Links collection, the Double Link Necklace is a sterling silver necklace with two feature circles in the centre. The two centre circles are lightly hammered and are slightly different sizes, which creates a lovely layered look when worn. The necklace is, of course, handmade by Nikki herself in her London store and features a silver snake chain. Available in either a 16 inch or 18 inch chain, you have the option to choose what sort of style you want to go for. I opted for the 18 inch length as I wanted it to sit a little lower than the 16 inch (which is a long choker length). The necklace itself is available for £110 which I think for a bespoke piece of quality silver jewellery is a great price, and ideal for Christmas!
My favourite aspect of the necklace is definitely the hammered effect across the centre hoops. I’m not a big fan of a lot of bling e.g. gems and sparkles, when it comes to jewellery. But the subtle sparkle that comes from the hammered effect is absolutely stunning. The circles manage to reflect light in such an elegant way that creates the idea of sparkle without the bling. Again I love the fact that you can always change up this necklace. The two hoops are removable so you could always opt to style the necklace with one hoop rather than two. I personally adore the necklace as it is with the two hoops but it’s great to have alternatives.
Aside from the necklace itself I also wanted to mention how amazing the packaging for the necklace was. The necklace came in a pop-up box which was neatly tied up in a personalised Nude Jewellery ribbon. If you were buying this as a gift for someone you honestly wouldn’t even need to bother wrapping it, it’s that gorgeous!
What’s on your Christmas list this year? Are you hoping for a special piece of jewellery? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to know your thoughts on the pieces that I’ve featured.
