I’m back with another at home outfit for I Got Dressed Today! For anyone who’s new here, I Got Dressed Today is my new mini series focusing on at home fashion while we’re currently on lockdown here in the UK, and also around the world. In each post I share a specific outfit that I got dressed up in while I’ve been in lockdown. Whether it be for a special at home celebration or just to go for a walk around my local area. It’s basically just all about celebrating the small things like changing out of our pyjamas (which is 100% an accomplishment right now). Here’s my latest look.
My Current Uniform
This weeks current uniform is pretty similar to last time overall. My baggy jeans will forever be my trousers of choice for lounging in but for the top I switched out the jumper for a lighter option. I opted for one of my favourite ARKET long sleeved striped tops for a casual but kind-of put together look.

I Got Dressed Today: Supermarket Outfit
If I’m completely honest, not much has really happened since my last post in this series. Pretty much the only times that I’ve bothered to get dressed up were for the supermarket and for the occasional walk. So this time I’m taking you through an outfit that I wore to the supermarket this week.
I feel like I’ve been getting dressed up even more for simple tasks like the supermarket recently. Usually I’d wear something like this for a trip to town on a Saturday afternoon. But now I’m finding myself wearing those sorts of outfits to go to Tesco. It’s not like I’ve got anywhere else to go to show off my outfits…so Tesco it is.
I picked up this ARKET blouse last year in the sale (which seems to be a bit of a theme) and styled it up all throughout Winter over the top of a black poloneck. Since the weather picked up a bit I haven’t been wearing it as much though. I think when you always style a piece in one specific way it feels strange to try and wear it in a different way. So because I’d style it as a layer, wearing it as just a blouse felt strange to me. I have to say though, I’m actually really into the way I’ve styled it here. It’s a classic ‘jeans and a nice top’ styling and I’m feeling it. I was unsure about how I’d feel wearing it without layers but once I’d tried on the look I fell in love with it.
One of my favourite things about this blouse is that it actually has a longer back than front. I love a bit of asymmetry when it comes to fashion but it’s something that you don’t come across all that often in high street shops. The loose fit is another aspect of it that I’m a fan of. There’s nothing worse than restricting clothing in the warmer weather. But the billowy fit of it is super cooling throughout Spring/Summer.
A light denim jean is such a staple when it comes to Spring/Summer in the UK. Even in the height of Summer, jeans are still a pretty wearable item here because there’s usually still a bit of a chill. My Levi’s Wedgie Straight light denim jeans are my go-to’s at this time of year.
Overall Levi’s jeans really aren’t a vibe for me. I love the designs of them all but they just never seem to fit me properly. However, I picked these up around 18 months ago, back when I was in university, and they fit like a glove. Unfortunately, the Wedgie Straight jeans aren’t an all-season round item in Levi’s which is such a shame because I’d probably own every single colour of them if they were.
Again I went for my classic flatform Superga’s as I did in the last post. I won’t go into detail since I featured them last time but I think the fact that I’m wearing them this time as well just shows how versatile they are.
To tie the look together I decided to pop on one of my vintage necklaces which you might have spotted from my vintage jewellery collection. The v neck of the blouse gave me the perfect opportunity to add a little something extra to the look so I went with my red pendant necklace. I thought the yellowy/orange tones in the blouse would work well against the more reddish shade of the necklace. And I think they went beautifully against each other!
You Got Dressed Today
At the end of last months post you might’ve remembered me mentioning that I wanted to feature YOU in this series. Since we’re all in the same boat I wanted to get you involved in this series and see what you’ve all been wearing at home during lockdown on the days that you got a little bit more dressed up.
To kick it off I wanted to share fellow ‘jeans indoors’ lover Gemma’s super sunny outfit that she wore for VE day last month. Definitely an excuse to get all dressed up! Like me she’s been making up random excuses for getting dressed up while she’s been at home and this ASOS dress has been a regular piece that she’s been dressing up in.
I love the bright yellow/orange colour of her dress, it just brings all the positive vibes! Keeping positive is super important right now but it’s also incredibly difficult to do. Dressing up in bright colours can really help improve your mood and I think her dress is the perfect feel-good mood-booster.
What’re your thoughts on the outfits I featured this week? Do you also have an at home uniform? Let me know in the comments. And remember to send me an Insta link to one of your favourite at home outfits! I’ll be featuring more of you in the next post.
