The quest for the ultimate alcohol-free spirit continues with the focus once again being on booze-free gin. Now I’ve tried a fair few alcohol-free gin alternatives over the last few years, but all the options that I’ve tried so far have been from companies that specialise solely in alcohol-free spirits. I’ve never actually tried an alcohol-free gin alternative from a brand that is known for their alcoholic spirits. So, I decided that it was about time that I did just that. What better spirit to start with than an alcohol-free gin alternative from one of the UK’s favourite gin companies, Gordon’s? Here’s everything you need to know about their new Gordon’s 0.0% Gin. Gordon’s: About The Brand
Founded over 250 years ago by Alexander Gordon in London, Gordon’s gin was created with the simple aim of being a gin that not only tasted great but was high quality too. Starting off in Southwark, London in a distillery known for its excellent, clean water supply, Alexander Gordon soon mastered the art of distilling high quality gin that was well-known and enjoyed by many. Fast forward to today, and Gordon’s is the world’s top selling gin.

The classic Gordon’s London Dry Gin is known for its strong juniper flavour and has been the star of the brand since it first began. But it’s not the only spirit they have in their repertoire. Gordon’s also have a Sicilian Lemon gin, a Sloe gin, a London Dry with a hint of elderflower and a Pink gin too. Their most recent venture, however, is the star of this post…the Gordon’s 0.0% Gin.
Gordon’s 0.0% Gin
Made in a very similar way to its boozy older brother, Gordon’s 0.0% Gin is a completely alcohol-free spirit that’s distilled from only the finest botanicals. Gordon’s designed their alcohol-free gin to have all the juniper-led flavour of the standard Gordon’s London Dry Gin, but without any of the alcohol. Have they proven that you can swap out the alcohol without compromising on taste? Let’s find out.

Gordon’s 0.0% Gin: Review
If you’ve read any of my other alcohol-free drinks reviews then you’ll know that I always start off the tasting by trying the spirit by itself. As is usually the case with alcohol-free spirits, Gordon’s 0.0% Gin wasn’t saying much by itself. BUT I do have to say that it didn’t seem as ‘cordial-esque’ as some of the other AF drinks I’ve tried. A strong start if you ask me. Next it was time for the ultimate test…did it make a good G&T? I mixed 50ml of Gordon’s 0.0% Gin with 150ml of Fever Tree tonic and PLENTY of ice (the best way to drink a G&T) and gave it a sip.
I was greeted with the strong juniper flavour that Gordon’s promised and I have to say it was absolutely delicious. Now, just to put it out there…I have to admit that Gordon’s standard London Dry Gin has never been a favourite gin of mine. I’ve always found it to be a bit too harsh on the palette personally. But, that being said, Gordon’s 0.0% Gin simply just worked. There was none of the harshness that I so strongly associate with their classic gin with the alcohol-free version. It was smooth, light and yet still full of flavour. Dare I say it…it’s better than the 37.5% ABV. A pretty bold statement, I know.
Gordon’s 0.0% Gin: Final Thoughts
For me, Gordon’s 0.0% Gin tasted like a proper gin. Which is something that I never would’ve expected to say when trying a completely alcohol-free gin. I feel as though I’m constantly being surprised with the range of alcohol-free spirit alternatives that are out there. And Gordon’s 0.0% Gin was possibly the most pleasant surprise yet. At £14.00 for a 70cl bottle it’s a must-try if, like me, you’re on the hunt for the ultimate alcohol-free gin.
Have you tried any alcohol-free spirits? Does Gordon’s 0.0% Gin sound like something you’d be interested in trying? I’ll be putting Gordon’s 0.0% Gin to the ultimate test and experimenting with some mocktail recipes soon. So, if there are any specific cocktail recipes you want me to make mocktail alternatives for then now’s your time to let me know!

Love that this delivered spectacularly in taste, in both a G&T and by itself.
Thanks for sharing!
It’s amazing to see spirits brands make their way into the alcohol-free market isn’t it! Glad you enjoyed the review 🙂 x
It’s amazing that this tastes like the real thing!! We got some of the bottled alcohol free Gordon’s G&Ts for my nan at New Year because she had a fall over Christmas and couldn’t drink with her meds but the spares ended up being used as emergency mixers 😂. This sounds like a great option for a summer afternoon x
Sophie
It definitely had that signature Gordon’s flavour but without the harshness! Haha I love the idea of ’emergency mixers’ :’) x

I have seen this in the local supermarket but I have never bought it, yet! After reading this review thought I think I will need to get myself some. I have to admit I don’t drink alcohol very often (I mean maybe once a year) I will always go with an alcohol free version so I definitely need to give this a try.
It’s definitely one of the best alcohol-free options that I’ve tried so I’d recommend giving it a go! I hope you enjoy it 🙂 x
