Five best alcohol advent calendars to get you in the mood for Christmas - Female Original

The countdown to Christmas is officially on, and I’ve picked out five grown-up calendars to get you into the mood for the festive season this year. If there’s a time of year to treat yourself to a tipple or two, it’s definitely Christmas. So, here are my five top picks for alcohol advent calendars to get you in the mood for Christmas this year. This post contains some items that were sent to me as press samples, these have been marked with an asterisk. For more information, please read my disclaimer and privacy policy.

Alcohol advent calendars: Virgin Wines Wine Advent Calendar*

Kicking things off with a bang is possibly the most on-brand advent calendar ever. The Virgin Wines Wine Advent Calendar.  If you’re a regular reader then you’ll know that wine is something that I talk a lot about, particularly in my Wine Wednesday series. So, of course, I had to feature a wine calendar in this year’s round-up. And, Virgin Wines have built the wine advent calendar of my dreams.

What can you expect from their wine advent calendar? 25 (yeah, that’s right, 25!) days of delicious wines from all around the world. They’ve packed a mix of red, white, rose, fizz AND port into this bad boy. So, there’s something in here for every kind of wine-lover. Plus, as a special Christmas Day treat, you’ll find a full bottle of prosecco behind day 25, ready to pop open and celebrate with.

RRP £89.99, available online at Virgin Wines

It’s The Black Pig’s McLaren Vale Shiraz, an award-winning, full-bodied red that’s both veggie and vegan friendly.  Sound like it might be a bit of you? Treat yourself, or a loved one, to this dream of an advent calendar by getting your order in now from the Virgin Wines website

They also come in red and white…

As well as their mixed calendar, Virgin Wines also have a white wine advent calendar and a red wine calendar.

These advent calendars look amazing! The Virgin Wines edition is likely my favourite and the bottles look like they would hold a 5 oz glass. I will be looking at what they offer for advent calendars here in Canada. Thanks for sharing Faye!

My husband would love either of the whisky calendars and I would adore the Freixnet one – I’m a huge fan, like you – although I think we’d definitely have to open them all in the evening, not first thing in the morning, haha!
