Best chocolate advent calendars to get you in the mood for Christmas

The boozy advent calendars are covered, but there’s still a kid in us all that wants a chocolate treat to countdown to Christmas with too, right? Lucky for you, I’ve picked out a few of the best chocolate advent calendars on the market – and I’m sharing them all right here.

This post contains some items that were sent to me as press samples, these have been marked with an asterisk. For more information about this, please take a look through my privacy policy and disclaimer.

Montezuma’s advent calendars*

To start things off, I wanted to talk you through a few of the advent calendars that one of my favourite chocolate brands has this year, Montezuma’s. Montezuma’s is a British chocolate company known for its incredible quality chocolate and commitment to ethically sourcing and producing products. It’s not just the chocolate itself that Montezuma’s holds this standard to. They also carry this approach through into their packaging. In fact, all of their packaging is either 100% recyclable, compostable or biodegradable. For this Christmas, Montezuma’s has released a range of delicious chocolate advent calendars to suit all types of chocolate lovers. Let’s take a look…

Montezuma’s Like No Udder advent calendar

First up, is their Like No Udder advent calendar which is made up of 24 vegan milk chocolate-alternative chocolates. Their Like No Udder range truly is as close to milk chocolate as you can get without going near cows milk. If you’re on the lookout for a quality vegan chocolate calendar at a reasonable price, this is absolutely it.

Montezuma’s Milk and White advent calendar

Next up is Montezuma’s Milk and White advent calendar. With this one, you really are getting the best of both worlds. Countdown to Christmas with 24 little drops of organic milk and white chocolate happiness – you won’t regret it.

Montezuma’s Milk, Dark and Absolute Black 100% advent calendars

If you’re someone who wants to get the most out of your countdown to Christmas, then you might be happy to discover that Montezuma’s also have a range of 25-day advent calendars! That way, you can start your Christmas day off with something sweet. As for the flavours, there are three calendars to choose from Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate and Absolute Black 100% Cocoa Dark Chocolate. Which one will you choose?

Personalised advent calendars with CEWE*

Looking to gift the perfect, personal advent calendar this December? Look no further than CEWE’s personalised photo advent calendars, in partnership with Boots Photo. CEWE’s festive range consists of six different seasonal options, including calendars filled with; kinder chocolate, kinder surprises and, my personal favourite, Ferrero chocolates. So, what makes their calendars personal? Well, CEWE offers customisable images on the front of each of their calendars, which means you can choose what you want your advent calendar to look like. Want to gift a loved one a calendar with your favourite photo of the two of you on it? You can with CEWE! Pretty cool, right?

CEWE advent calendar with Ferrero chocolates

I put their personalisation skills to the test and tried out their Ferrero advent calendar. For my calendar, I wanted to capture one of my favourite travel moments from the last few years which was my trip to Seville, Spain. I ended up choosing an image of a glass of rosé that I had in one of the standout restaurants on my trip. I do have to say, the quality of the image is incredible. It’s been printed so brilliantly onto the calendar, and instantly takes me back to that moment on my trip. Inside the calendar is a mix of Ferrero kisses, Rocher and Raffaelo balls – delicious! As if the personalised designs and delicious treats aren’t enough, CEWE’s advent calendars all have entirely biodegradable inner trays too!

Lindt Gold Teddy advent calendar

Is it even Christmas without a bit of Lindt chocolate? I think not! In last year’s foodie advent calendar round-up, you might remember me talking about Lindt’s Pick & Mix advent calendar, which was made up of a medley of their best-selling Lindor chocolate balls. This year, however, I wanted to highlight their Gold Teddy advent calendar. This adorable calendar consists of 24 days of melt-in-the-mouth teddy chocolates, all of which were created by Lindt’s master chocolatiers. Our bitterly cold December mornings will definitely be made sweeter with one of these calendars!

Will you be testing out any of these calendars this year? Maybe you’ll treat a loved one to a personalised calendar. Let me know which of these options sounds like a bit of you in the comments.

  1. The Milk & White advent calendar sounds amazing, but I love that the same brand has a nice mix of different chocolate types in its calendars so one can give the perfect gift depending on a friend’s chocolate tastes. The Lindt teddies sound fun and delicious too! 🙂

    1. I think the versatility of Montezuma’s is what makes them such a great brand. All of their chocolate is delicious! Thanks for reading, Jaya 🙂
