Last Thursday I took a trip over to Manchester to celebrate the launch of Pandora’s latest collection, Pandora Me. I was kindly invited to The Ivy in Spinningfields by the team at Mindshare to attend the exciting event. With promises of drinks, canapés, gorgeous jewellery and great company, of course I was thrilled to attend! [ invited ] This post contains affiliate links.
The Pandora Me Collection
If you’re a fan of Stranger Things then you might already know that their latest collection is in collaboration with Millie Bobby Brown. Featuring three unique bracelets, mix-and-match earrings, a brooch and charms. The idea of the collection is to get us to focus on “What makes you, you?”. With a focus on expressing yourself and everything that makes you who you are, I absolutely loved what the collection stood for.
One of the most interesting parts of the collection for me was the mix-and-match earrings. Asymmetry has become somewhat of a huge trend in fashion, but more specifically jewellery over the last year. I’ve seen the trend popping up in high street jewellery stores recently, so it was great to see Pandora featuring the trend in their Pandora Me collection.
I went into the event convinced that the earrings were going to be top of my lust-list however, the Pandora Me Link Bracelet took the crown for me. If you’ve read my other jewellery posts then you’ll know about my love for bold jewellery and their Link Bracelet was just that.
Food and Drinks
The evening began in my favourite way… with a glass of fizz (a must!). And throughout the evening we were served some delicious canapés from the restaurant next door. The first being a tuna tartare. Despite being a self-proclaimed foodie, I have to admit I’d never actually tried a tartare before. It’s just something that I’ve never really come across in a restaurant and definitely isn’t something I would usually make at home. So I decided to give it a try.
I’m not entirely sure what I was expecting but I really enjoyed it. I think the sesame seeds are what sold it for me. It was just completely different to what I would normally go for, but in the best way.
Some of the other canapés included chicken skewers with ,what I’m fairly sure was, a sort of guac, steak, polenta and asparagus. As well as this there was a veggie version of the chicken which was amazing!
The blackberry panna cotta was to DIE for. It was definitely my favourite of the evening and was the perfect dish to finish with. I’ve probably thought about it every day since the event if I’m completely honest. It was just so good!
Getting My Aura Read
One of the most unique parts of the evening was getting the chance to have my aura read. Set up in the corner of the venue was an area where we could each have our auras read to reveal what charm suited each of us. Having never had my aura read before (or anything similar) I was definitely intrigued.
I was told that I was an incredibly centered person. Which, I was also told, was something that a lot of people spend years meditating towards to try and achieve. This was definitely interesting to me! She decided on the arrow charm as a reflection of her reading, so of course I went with it!
Jumper – Mango | Trousers – & Other Stories | Boots – Office | Bracelets – Pandora
To finish off the evening it was only right to head to the photo booth! I’d met the lovely Chloe from Being Chloe earlier in the evening (after following each other for 2 years on social media!). So we decided to commemorate our meeting (and accidental outfit coordination) with a photo!
I left with a fab little goodie bag including a Skinny Dip hipflask, Nip + Fab Vitamin C Tonic, Givenchy Nail Varnish and Eylure London eyelashes. And of course my bracelet and charm which will be showing up at my door very soon! I’ll be sharing some photos of the jewellery over on Instagram once it arrives so keep an eye out!
Thank you to the team over at Mindshare and Pandora for such a wonderful evening celebrating Pandora Me. As well as to The Ivy Manchester for the delicious drinks, canapés and an absolutely stunning venue!
Have you checked out the full Pandora Me collection yet? What are some of your favourite pieces from the collection? Leave a comment as I’d love to know!
