The other week I took a trip to Anfield Stadium where I was invited to The Liverpool Vegan Festival. Although I myself am not a vegan, you might have noticed from a few of my recipe posts that I love vegan food. I did, however, go with my vegan friend to get the low-down on all the best looking treats.
Arriving at the Venue
Going into the event I was expecting different stalls, each with plenty of great vegan foods and drinks. And I definitely wasn’t disappointed! We arrived at the stadium and headed up to the festival. As we walked in we were greeted with a programme for the day and vegan snack bar on entrance. Once we arrived in the actual festival area we were surrounded by stall after stall of amazing vegan companies each showcasing their products.
Checking Out the Stalls
Something that I wasn’t expecting there to be were clothing and beauty stalls. I don’t know why I had it in my head that it was solely a food and drink event but for some reason I did! However, I was pleasantly surprised to stumble across some non-food stalls. As a huge lover of jewellery, it was great to see some ethical accessory stalls at the festival. It’s definitely something that I’ll be doing some more research into!
The…Carrot on Top of the Cake
I finished with a slice of carrot cake from The London Feel Good Co Ltd. and I have to say it was absolutely gorgeous. Carrot cake is one of my favourite cakes of all time and, considering this was a completely vegan alternative, it tasted just as a non-vegan carrot cake would. If you’re looking for a vegan alternative then I’d definitely recommend checking them out!
We ended the day with a trip to one of my favourite spots in Liverpool city centre, Einstein Bier Haus. If you’re looking for a great spot for a few drinks this summer then make sure to check out my post about Einstein Bier Haus for some serious fruity beer envy!
Have you ever been to a vegan festival before? Are you a vegan yourself? Maybe, like me, you aren’t vegan but love vegan food! Let me know in the comments.

The food at this festival looks AMAZING! Wish I could have tried some! YUM
I am not vegan, my living situation isn’t right for it atm, but due to some health issues, I am looking into it. Hopefully one day. xx Manon

Sounds like you have a fun day! And I love vegan food so much. I am not a vegan too but always love vegan foods
Your picture are so beautiful and make me hungry ?

Thank you so much! I love trying new vegan recipes even if I’m not a vegan myself x

I’m definitely one of those non-vegans who enjoy vegan food every now & again! Vegan butter is one of my fav things as I’m lactose intolerant to a certain degree, so non-dairy butter is amazing. I love your new banner by the way!!
July 14, 2019
I don’t think I’ve ever had vegan butter before! Thank you so much, I’ve had so much fun trying out new designs x

This event looks like an absolute dream! I’m not vegan but make a conscious effort to include more vegan food options into my diet simply because plant based is better for the planet. These goodies look like they’d be so tasty and I’m incredibly jealous you got to go! Maybe one day I’ll find a similar event nearby. xx

Hi there! I’m not a vegan but was encouraged to go vegan because of my psoriasis! I didn’t think I could do it but this food looks incredibly amazing. Congrats on getting invited! This seems like a fun experience! I’m most excited for what was labeled as “peaches and cream.” ?

Oh that’s so interesting! There are some really great vegan options out there, even as a non-vegan 🙂 x

I haven’t been to a vegan festival before, but I went to the London Food Festival a few years ago and there were some really good vegan stands!! All that food looks so good. Before I tried eating vegan food, I was concerned it wouldn’t be very nice but it’s actually become one of my favourite meal choices when I go out now!!
July 27, 2019
Oooh that sounds like such a fun festival! Maybe you’ll get to visit a vegan one soon x

This sounds like a great event, those cakes look incredible! Love that you enjoyed it even as a non-vegan. I wish I had similar events closer to home! x

This looks heavenly haha! I’m not a vegan myself (vegetarian, though) but I love eating vegan 🙂 I try to cut down on eating animal products, but I’m definitely struggling haha (especially with cheese). Glad you shared about the other non-food products too, that’s such a big part of veganism that a lot of people forget about 🙂

Cheese is definitely a weakness of mine – the vegan cheese was nice but it had nothing on the real thing! It was lovely browsing through the non-food stalls too 🙂 x

I’ve never been to a vegan fest but from the pictures alone I’m already tempted to find out if there’s any in my area soon!

It was a really interesting little trip out! x

Admittedly, I do not know a great deal about veganism and I always thought that it would really limit my food choices but I love this! This has definitely encouraged me to try more vegan and vegetarian foods because all of the food in your photographs look delicious.
July 15, 2019
There are some really great vegan foods outs there! It’s so interesting comparing the way they taste to their non-vegan alternatives x

OMG, all the cakes look absolutely amazing! I am not vegan but do eat vegan food quite a lot actually (vegan meat is cheaper and lasts longer than meat so do the math ahah). I had not heard of this festival before, too bad I moved so far away!
July 15, 2019
They were gorgeous! Meat can be so expensive – vegan meat is a great alternative x

This sounds like an amazing day out! Those huge rose quartz crystals are beautiful. And all those cakes…! I’m a huge fan of carrot cake too!
July 16, 2019
The carrot cake was heavenly!x

Those cakes look utterly amazing! I’m not vegan but I’m trying to incorporate more vegan food into my general diet. I doubt I’ll ever completely switch due to some complex dietary needs but I enjoy vegan snacks.
What I find most amusing is that a family run butchers in the town centre has an advertisement for the local vegan food festival in the window!
July 15, 2019
Haha how strange! They were amazing x
July 17, 2019
Ooh, all these treats look absolutely delicious and you’ve got me craving carrot cake now haha! I was actually surprised when you mentioned there were clothing stalls there too – it’s just not something you would expect at a food festival!
