Christmas Came Early at LUSH Liverpool

This time last week I had the pleasure of visiting the Liverpool LUSH store to check out their wonderful new Christmas floor. [invited] Here in Liverpool we’re lucky enough to have the largest LUSH store in the entire world! (crazy right?). So getting the chance to pop in and check out their new Christmas floor had me incredibly excited.

To start the event we had a quick tour of the perfume section on the ground floor. As Liverpool is the largest store, there are quite a few products that are exclusive in store. One of which was their Gold Label perfume collection. I have to admit that I was so fascinated by the perfume range that I completely forgot to take pictures! But if you find yourself in store, definitely go and have a browse of the collection! My favourite had to be Lord of Misrule.

The LUSH Spa

Next up was a trip upstairs to the stunning LUSH spa where we were given a tour. I’d previously visited the spa that we had in the old Liverpool store however, the new store’s spa was on a whole new level.

Despite the fact that our store is located in the middle of town, it was difficult to tell once you stepped foot inside the spa. The whole space was filled with greenery and natural wooden furniture. You were just hit with an instant sense of calm upon entrance!

We had a little tour around two of the three treatment rooms and learned a bit about each treatment. What I found so interesting about the treatments that LUSH offer is that they’re all set to music. As someone who worked with sound and music in my degree, it was really interesting to learn that the treatments were tailored to match certain music.

Not only were the movements in line with music, but there was also the added element of lighting too. As the music changed, so did the lighting.

The idea is to create an entire sensory experience which I thought was incredible! It really seems like such a unique experience. And the fact that you can get it in the centre of town is amazing.

The Christmas Floor

With our tour of the spa complete, it was time for the main event; The Christmas floor. If there’s one place that will get you in the festive mood this Christmas it is most definitely their Christmas floor.

I honestly think I could spend a full day on the Christmas floor browsing through their full range of seasonal products. I’m not sure my bank balance would appreciate the damage that I could do here though…

Making My Own Gift

The lovely staff as LUSH allowed us to each choose any three items from the Christmas floor to take home with us. Whether that be bath bombs, bubble bars, or something else. Once we’d chosen our three items they would wrap them up in one of their Knot Wraps in whatever fabric we chose.

The Knot Wrap

For any of you that haven’t heard of LUSH’s Knot Wraps before, they’re a reusable form of packaging that is perfect for gifting. An ideal alternative to wrapping paper, Knot Wraps are not only reusable but also absolutely stunning. They’re pretty much a gift in themselves!

I ended up choosing a purple design with orange details over the top. The bold colour scheme was what drew me towards the fabric. I could already see myself styling it up as an accessory!

I have to admit though, I quite like it as a blog photography background as well. It’s definitely not the last you’ll see of the pattern on the blog! Anyway, here’s what I picked up…

Yog Nog Body Conditioner

Every year I get so excited for the return of Yog Nog. And this year I certainly wasn’t disappointed, as there was an ENITRE RANGE dedicated to the scent.

I pretty much lost it when I saw the dedicated Yog Nog area. I’m pretty sure that by the time Christmas comes around I will’ve stocked up on the whole range. If you haven’t had a chance to have a sniff of the range then you are seriously missing out!

Pop Art Bath Bomb

The first product that I picked up was the Pop Art Bath Bomb which was part of the Yog Nog range in store. Described as having a buttery feel to it and a delicious caramel scent, I knew I’d absolutely love it.

At first I thought it was a classic bath bomb but hidden on the inside was a surprise. And that surprise was popping candy!

If there’s a time to have a bit of fun it’s definitely Christmas. So I thought why not give something a little different a go? I’m definitely intrigued to see how the popping candy turns out, have any of you tried it yet?

Body Conditioner

With my first product chosen and in my basket, I thought why not try another product in the Yog Nog range? It is my favourite scent after all!

After a quick browse around the range I decided on the body conditioner. With the drop in temperature at this time of year, I always find myself in need of a slightly more intense moisturiser. So I thought the Yog Nog body conditioner could be exactly what I needed.

One of the LUSH staff offered a little pamper using the body conditioner as a hand and arm moisturiser and, after feeling how smooth my hands were afterwards, I was sold.

Holly Golightly Amazeball

Continuing on with my theme of trying new beauty products, I ended up picking up one of their festive amazeballs as my final treat. The Holly Golightly amazeball promises to deliver a bit of festive spice with scents of Brazilian orange and cinnamon. I’m not a huge fan of sweet scents (unless they’re creamy like the Yog Nog range) so the fact that this was a spicy-sweet combination made me think that it would be perfect for me.

The bath bomb itself is filled with little pebbles for sprinkling in your bath. I loved this concept as you can alter how strong you want the aromas to be in your bath. Sometimes I prefer to have a more subtle scent and other times it’s got to be the whole shabang.

Topped off with a little holly lid, I’m sure this bath bomb will deliver all of the festive feels this Christmas. I can’t wait to test it out this season!

Personalising My Gift

To finish off the experience we all got the chance to personalise our Knot Wrapped gifts with a little festive message. We were each given a gift tag and had the option to add a special message to the gifts. Since mine was a gift to myself I went with their “Have Yourself A Merry Little Bathtime!” message.

If you flip the tag over you’ll spot a “What’s In My gift?” QR code. When you download the Lush Labs app and scan the QR code you can see exactly what’s inside! I thought this was such a great feature because if I was receiving a Knot Wrap as a gift I’d be desperate to know what was inside but wouldn’t want to ruin the lovely wrapping!

Thank you to the team at LUSH Liverpool for a wonderful event and to my fellow Liverpool blogger Katy Gilroy for organising it. Have you had a chance to visit your local LUSH this season? What LUSH products are top of your Christmas list this year?

This sounds absolutely incredible! I didn’t even know some lush stores had spas?! What? My local lush is quite small so they don’t stock much more than the core products. The Yog Nog scent sounds heavenly x
