If you follow me on social media then you might’ve noticed that recently I’ve started working with the UniBox as a brand ambassador. As a final year university student, there really isn’t a collaboration opportunity better than working with a university subscription box. So I was absolutely thrilled when they got in touch saying that they wanted to work with me! If you haven’t heard of the UniBox before, it’s a monthly subscription box with a different themed box each month. Each box has been carefully curated to feature products that university students would find useful. This could be anything from hot chocolate to hand creams!
One of my favourite things about the UniBox is that it feels like a gift from you to you whenever you get one in the post. With less than 10 days to go until Christmas I thought why not write a little feature of what was inside this month’s festive December Box. Plus it gives me a chance to share a few of my favourite bits with you!
The December Box was entitled Winter Wonderland and the contents inside definitely reflected this title. What was so special about this box was that it featured a wrapped up gift. As soon as I saw that it instantly got me in the mood for Christmas and had me ready to head off home to enjoy the festivities. Inside was The Mindfulness Puzzle Book which I know will be a great way to de-stress after all of the deadlines that us students have this time of year.
Anything that adds to my pamper nights gets a yes from me so when I opened the box to the adorable Mr. Snowman I knew I’d love the product inside. I’m a huge bath-lover but an ever bigger fan of them during cold Winter nights. There’s just something about a luxury bath that will always put me in the festive mood. Particularly when I whack on a new pair of Christmas pyjamas as soon as I hope out of the bath!
I’m actually yet to try these snacks but, if the name of them is anything to go by, I’m sure I’ll absolutely love them. Coffee and coffee-flavoured foods are some of my all time favourites so the fact that that flavour has been applied to an on-the-go snack is a winner. This is definitely the sort of snack that I can see myself bringing to university with me on a busier day.
I know for a lot of students, myself included, that candles aren’t normally allowed to be burnt in student accommodation. However, what I love about the inclusion of a candle in this box is that most of us will be going home for Christmastime. So, we can actually burn them! (it’s like they curated the box perfectly…haha!). When I opened my box last week and saw this, I instantly had to give it a smell. As soon as I did my first thought was I can’t wait to go home and use this! It’s the perfect balance of sweetness and spice which I absolutely love. Very sweet scents aren’t for me as I find them a bit sickly but this one is ideal for burning throughout the festive period.
A Few Other Bits and Bobs
So, I’ve gone through the larger items in the box but let’s not forget about the small but mighty extras. As always the UniBox includes a post code with an inspiring or interesting quote on it. This months said: “Snowflakes are one of nature’s most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together.” from Vesta M. Kelly. The next little bit was a candy cane. Being a child in the early 00s of course means that whenever I see a candy cane that I get mega Mean Girl vibes, so when I saw this in the box my head instantly went to that. The final item was an adorable Reindeer Pen. You can never have enough pens and the fact that this one is a reindeer just completes the entire box.
Have any of you used The UniBox before? What are your thoughts on them? Do you have any favourite products that have been featured in them? Let me know in the comments!
If you’re thinking about signing up for a box of your own then make sure to use my discount code AMBFA5 for £5 off your box. Us students are on a budget after all! Even if you aren’t a student but simply just love the idea of the UniBox then still go ahead and treat yourself to one. Just because their focus is on university students doesn’t mean its only for them!
