Recently I’ve really been trying to go out of my style comfort zone and try out some new things, that’s why I didn’t want to show you the typical jeans and sweater (which obviously I also do wear) and wanted to mix it up a little. I obviously have worn this outfit to uni before and I freaking love it. I love the jumpsuit especially because it’s an all year round piece. In the summer it’s perfect to just wear on its own. Then when winter comes around you can style it in so many different ways. The pin is there firstly because it is beautiful. Secondly because to be honest I don’t like how the sweater falls with this jumpsuit, so I needed something to pick it up a little. I thought this pin was the perfect addition perfectly.
Do you plan out your outfits before you wear them or are you more of a throw on in the morning type of person?
I definitely don’t plan them beforehand, I just chuck something on in the morning. But I’m quite lucky to usually have a little bit of time and I’m not always rushing to get out so I can take a little bit of time to choose my outfit.
Do you think your style shifts between university and life at home or do you wear pretty much the same looks in both places?
I wear pretty much the same in both places.
What item of clothing do you think every university student must own?
Sneakers. You can get them in all shapes and sizes, from high street or high end stores, and they just go with everything basically.
What is your favourite item of clothing in your wardrobe?
This is a hard one! After a lot of thinking I’m pretty sure I’m going to go with my Nike Air Max. I bought these two years ago and they were the biggest investment in clothing I ever made, but damn am I happy with them. The guy in the store told me they would last me two seasons, boy was he wrong. I’ve been wearing my babies for two years now and they’re still going just as strong as ever. They just go with basically everything and they are incredibly comfortable.
What do you find yourself wearing the most when you’re at university?
Jeans and a jumper, it’s just so easy to throw on. But I try to switch it up a little by adding different accessories.
What is the oldest item of clothing in your wardrobe?
This was also a hard one! I think my white converse. I remember really wanting some white converse for the longest time and I finally got some and I was so happy with them. I seriously wore them almost every single day from then. But eventually I just grew out of them. Now I think they are super uncomfortable so I’m never wearing them again haha.
Do you vintage shop?
Me and my boyfriend used to love going thrift shopping, once we went to 5 different thrift stores all over the city in one day. We haven’t done in it in a while though, but I still love it!
Do you have a style inspiration?
Loads of people from Instagram and YouTube, but not one specific person.
What is your absolute favourite high street shop?
Primark or boohoo, ‘cause they’re inexpensive and they tend to have nice items. I don’t really mind if you can’t keep them for years because I seem to grow out of things very quickly, I guess I’m still experimenting and finding my own style so I’m not at a place where I want to make big investments yet (except obviously my nikes). So primark and boohoo it is!
Do you pay attention to what is “in fashion” according to magazines/big brands?
No, definitely not. I wouldn’t have a clue what’s in fashion and I don’t really care. I just buy whatever I see that I like and that’s it.
